How to manage Wheel Group Users in WHM

Description
  • Placing someone’s username in wheel group on a Linux system will enable them to switch users when connected to the shell. It includes root user, which has complete access to your server.
  • You should exercise extreme caution when adding users to the wheel group; only add those users whom you trust implicitly and add as few people as possible. Less potential avenues for hackers to gain root access, means less chance of it to happen.
  • Find security section of the menu. Go to Manage wheel group users. Select a user from the list to add to wheel group. Click Add to Group option. User will be added to wheel group.
  • To remove a user from the wheel group, click on the button with the user’s name on it. User will be removed successfully.
