How to finish migrating Joomla 1.0.x using a new Joomla 1.5.x installation

Description
  • To complete the migration from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 you need to have watched the first demonstration.
  • This will show you how to use the migration file during the installation of a new Joomla 1.5 site.
  • Watch the accompanying tutorial and carry on the same till the last step.
  • At the bottom of the page you will see the form, click on load migration script. Enter the required information and browse the migration file.
  • Now click on upload and execute.
  • After a while, you will be notified that the migration was successful. Click next.
  • Enter the site name, and nothing else is required to be filled on this page and click on next.
  • Now, the installation is complete and we will check if we can log in the admin panel. Click on admin.
  • The migration is complete and make sure to retain your Joomla 1.0 installation till you are absolutely sure that the Joomla 1.5 installation is working properly.
