An introduction to using Fantastico

Fantastico is a commercial script library that automates the installation of web applications to a website. Fantastico scripts are executed from the administration area of a website control panel such as cPanel. Fantastico scripts are usually executed when a new website is created, or a new application is added to an existing website. The scripts typically create tables in a database, install software, adjust permissions, and modify web server configuration files. Log in cPanel. Check the software title and click on Fantastico icon. Frantasico is an Add on Co-Panel which lets you install many database driven programs, in a few seconds. The programs available for installation of Fantastico are given on the left side of page. There are many programs available. You need to have 1 SQL database for each of the programs installed by you. Since, there are a limited number of SQL databases that can be used, only those programs should be installed, which are needed the most and the non required programs should be uninstalled. Click b2evolution on left side. Each program has its own homepage, as b2evolution evolution page. Now, for an example, to install b2evolution in this account, click on 'New Installation' link on right side window. Enter the directory name, where the program is to be installed. Scroll down and add admin user name & password in the lower text box. Enter nickname & email ID and click on 'Install b2evolution' button. The next window will show 'Finish Installation' button. You can click it, after visualizing the summary mentioned in the window. B2evolution has been installed in the server. You can get the information of this installation on an email, mentioned in the options.
