How to create an add-on domain
This tutorial will show you that how can you create an Add on domain (pointer) in Control panel. You can create an Add on domain to point other domain to a sub domain or sub folder of the main domain. Add on can have its own email but it can not have its own control panel.
The next page will give an option of Adding a new domain, on which the pointer is required. Eg: sample3.com. Then you can enter the sub directory to which you'd like the Add on to point. There would be an option to enter password for this Add on domain.
By doing this, you have successfully created an Add on domain, for which cPanel automatically provides FTP access. You can upload your files to your_website.com/add-domain, because cPanel itself creates a subfolder in your root directory (public_html), for the new Add on domain.
The Add on domain is created and after that it should be checked that the FTP has been properly set up or not, by clicking on FTP manager, in the home. You can check FTP accounts to confirm the new Add on Domain.
