How to use the Backup Manager in Plesk

Description
  • Log on Plesk as a reseller.
  • Backups are essential for hosting websites. It is important to create backup on regular basis for preventing data loss in server crash events.
  • Go to Hosting Services > Tools & Utilities. Click on backup manager icon. Click Backup icon.
  • Give required specifications by filling different options. Click on Create backup button.
  • Go to Scheduled Backup settings tab. Activate backup task by clicking on first checkbox. Fill in other specifications and click on ok button.
  • List of backups will be shown.
  • Click Personal FTP Repository tab. Click on the link to set up repository. Enter IP and User details. Click on Ok button, when done.
  • To restore backups, select them from main listing. Select type of data to restore. Also, Enter email where notification will be sent upon task. Click on Restore button. Conficts, if any, will show up on next screen.
  • Click on Next button. Choose the action you want to take from conflicts. Click Next button. Backup will be restored.
