How to use the File Manager in Plesk

Description
  • Log on Plesk.
  • Go to Websites & Domains. Click on File Manager icon.
  • Your mail website?s files are listed under httpdocs. Click on it. You will see the contents. Some basic functions for file manager can be clicked on the window.
  • Click Add New Directory icon for creating a new folder. Type directory name and click on Ok button.
  • Click on .. link to go to parent directory. You can click on icon corresponding to name for editing the folder. Set new name for folder and click ok button.
  • To delete a directory, select it and click on remove icon.
  • To add a new file, click on Add New File icon. Select Upload a file to browse and add it from a folder in PC or create a file option to make a new file. Click on OK button. New file will show up in list.
  • You can click on the file permissions icon corresponding to file name to amend read, write and execute sections.
  • Deleting a file can be same as removing directory.
