How to use File Manager in cPanel

Description
  • Log into cPanel.
  • Go to files section and click on File Manager icon.
  • Select directory to open and click on Go button.
  • File manager interface will appear where you can upload files to your account, delete files, change file permissions and host other functions.
  • Left side of window displays collapsible list of folders in your account and right side displays list of all files and folders within the folder selected on left side.
  • In Public_html folder, all HTML pages, GIF images etc. will go.
  • Click on Upload button at the top. This function will upload files to your account and set permissions to them.
  • Click on New Folder to make a new folder. Give its name and location and click on Create New Folder.
  • To create a new file, click on New File icon and give its location. Click on Create New File button.
  • You can also use File Manager to change permissions for files or folders. Simply, you can also click on Change Permissions icon to make changes.
  • File manager makes it easy to manage the files and folders in your account when you don’t have access to FTP application.
